If Only It Worked That Way

Logan was running around naked and ran into Emma's room with his hands on his privates.

Emma looked at him out of the corner of her eye and said:

"Logan don't play with it. It will grow."

Overheard...

...Logan announcing very loudly in a crowded ladies room.

"Momma, I will now call you Penis Girl."

At Least He's Honest

Emma & a friend were watching a movie for the 5th time that week. They were discussing their favorite part of the movie when Logan chimed in from the peanut gallery.

"My favorite part is when it says The End."

From the Land of the Cavemen

Emma and I were having a conversation in the car on the way to the grocery store when she asked me a question.

Emma: "How long ago were dinosaurs alive?"
Me: "Millions of years ago."
Emma: "Like when Grammy was being born."

I'm pretty sure she is out of the will now.

Doing My Best to make Her a Social Outcast

I was getting Emma off the bus yesterday and when the driver opened to door she was laughing hysterically. She then proceeded to tell me that when Emma saw me at the bottom of the driveway she sighed a huge sigh and said in a very disgusted tone:

"Ugh my mom is the driveway in her pajamas again. That's so embarrassing."

I can't wait til this kid is a teenager. We are in for a world of pain.

She Reads Him So Well

I was emptying the dishwasher (I know fun exciting times) when Emma yelled from upstairs that Logan was doing something wrong.

Me: "What's he doing?"
Emma: "I don't know but he's smiling."
Me: "He's smiling so that means he did something wrong?"
Emma: "Yeah because it's the devious smile."

Come to find out she was right of course. He felt it necessary to give all his people from his train set some Chapstick.....a whole tube of Chapstick.

A Historic Day

A few things out of the kids mouth in the last few hours while they are bored out of their minds because Mommy has taken over the T.V. to watch the inauguration.

Logan: "Barack Obama rocks."

Emma: "There's like a million people there."
Me: "They said there may be as many as 3 million people."
Emma: "Whoa....Do you see anyone you know?"

Logan (in the middle of Obama's speech): "Emma did you hear that. He just said Sponge Bob Square Pants."

Emma: "This is an important day today. Did you know that Logan?"
Logan: "Is it my birthday?"

The Hormones are Starting a Little Too Early

Emma was having a bit of an off day today and it seemed that everything her brother was doing (including breathing) was bothering her. At one point she yelled at him to stop trying to hug her and just leave her alone. After I explained that maybe she needed to be a nicer to her little brother who was just trying to love on her she responded with:

"I know that Mom. I just a little emotional today."
