A Kinder Gentler Superhero
Adam's boss gave him a bunch of Superfriends action figures that his boys had outgrown and we happily passed them along to Logan. While most boys would have them engaged in an epic battle, Logan lines them up in a half circle that he called the "Rainbow of Neighbors".
Is it me or does the Hulk look like he's gotten some anger management? Or maybe he has a stash of some really good stuff !

Love Thy Neighbor
We recently moved into a fantastic new house in a neighborhood full of kids. The neighborhood moms have a tradition every year a few days before school starts to get the kids accustomed to waking up early again and catching the bus. For a couple days beforehand they alternate houses and all the kids gather at 7:30 and have various forms of breakfast together. Then come 8 o'clock they all put on their shoes and head out to the bus stop. It's a fire drill of sorts for making sure they get to the bus on time. Yesterday they invited us to attend their Breakfast Club (Don't you forget about me...sorry I couldn't help it). Sitting around the table this morning with 8 kids ranging in age from 18 months to 8, Logan looked around, smiled and said.
"I zove these people of mine."
"I zove these people of mine."

Even the Boy Is Addicted
Logan woke up at 4 a.m. with another bad case of leg cramps so I took him into our bed for some cuddling. He looked at the dark T.V. and said with a sly little smile:
"Hey Momma, Do you want to watch the Lympics with me? I pomiss I won't tell Daddy."

Going Off On a Tangent
So usually I reserve this blog for stories about the kids but I feel the urge to tell this story so that I can make the world a better place. So I'm following the footsteps of my pal Brant and sharing the antics of the ignorant and stupid in the hopes that we can ban together and rid the world of all of them.
So Adam & I took the kids to my favorite place in the whole world today....Chuck E Cheese (and I know you can't note the sarcasm in my voice by reading a blog but trust me it is there). Since it wasn't too crowded, we left our pizza and drinks on the table in case the kids wanted to come back and pick at their food. As I went back for a sip of my nectar of the Gods (Diet Coke), I noticed a kid much younger than Logan sitting by himself at our table, eating our pizza. I managed to track down his mom, who was sitting across the room furiously texting on her phone, completely oblivious to the whereabouts of her young boy. I let her know, in case the child was allergic to anything or carried a contagious disease that might be passed on to myself or my children, that he had helped himself to a slice of our pizza. Her response:
"Well you shouldn't have left it on the table."
I have 4 words in reaction to this....Survival of the fittest.

The New 50 Cent
Logan was walking through the kitchen this morning dancing and singing:
"Go Logan, Go Logan. It's your birthday. It's your birthday."

A New Rage in Juice Boxes
Me: "Hey Emma. Do you want a juice box with lunch?"
Emma: "Yeah. Can I have the zucchini kind?"
Me: "Zucchini kind??"
Emma: "Yeah remember the ones from this weekend? They have strawberry & zucchini in them."
Me: "You mean strawberry kiwi?"
Emma: "Yeah that's what I said."

It Makes It All Worthwhile
Emma walked by Logan who was laying on the couch, kissed him on the forehead and said:
"You're my favorite boy."
I guess that makes up for all the times she has thumped him on the head but it melted my heart nevertheless.

Camping Pictures
We headed to a former seaside Air Force base this weekend for a fun-filled time. Adam & Emma slept out in the tent while Logan & I decided to bunk up in a cabin with some friends. And before you make any comments, it wasn't the lap of luxury kind of cabin. There was mold on my pillowcase and I couldn't take a shower without shoes. But at least I didn't have to sleep outside.

The Candy Man Can
We have been trying to introduce Logan to the world of big boy pottying for awhile to no avail. But the last week he has shown a great interest in it and has gone at least 20 times....with the promise of a candy reward. Yesterday after his nap he told me he had to go so I put him on the potty where he proceeded to pass an enormous amount of gas. Then he looked at me with all the pride that his little 2 1/2 year old face could hold and said:
"Momma I did a fart on the potty. Do I get my M & M's now?"
