Moment of Panic
I went to check on Logan about an hour and a half into his nap yesterday and was greeted with an empty bed. After few moments of sheer terror and calling of his name, I heard the T.V. on in our bedroom and found him wrapped snugly in his 'blank-a-ly", lying in my bed with the Disney Channel on. I was upset for about 5 seconds and then I realized how sweet he was.
How can you get mad at this?

For the Love of Food
The children enjoy playing with the Lazy Susan that is nestled into the corner of the kitchen cabinets, much to my chagrin (I keep imagining them losing a finger or two to it's mesmerizing spinning action). After the 657th time of telling them not to touch it today, I told them if either one of them played with it again, the offender would have to sit on the naughty mat.
"And the police will come," Logan said.
"No the police don't really care about canned goods," I replied.
" I care about canned goods," Emma muttered under her breath walking away.

A Little Story By Logan

Give The Boy His Man Card
Logan was wandering around the house yesterday looking for Adam who was in the garage sanding a dresser for restaining purposes. He came into the kitchen and this conversation occured.
Logan: "Momma, where's Daddy?"
Me: "He's in the gee-rage."
Logan: "No it's garage. Do you know that means Daddy's Happy Place in (s)panish?

Way to Make Momma Feel Old
Logan has an annoying habit of repeatedly asking for something even though he has already been told he can have it. While driving home yesterday, he asked a question for the 32nd time in 20 minutes.
Logan: "Momma, I can watch Max & Ruby and have apple juice when we get home?"
Me: "Yes Logan. I already told you that. You sound like a broken record."
Emma: "What's a record?"
Me: "It's how you used to listen to music before CD's."
Logan: "What's a CD?"
And yes, I did walk to school uphill barefoot in the snow....BOTH WAYS!

Brother for Sale
Logan has been particular cranky the last few days for reasons unknown. After a before bedtime meltdown because his warm milk wasn't as warm as he wanted, I heard Emma whisper to him:
"If you can't calm down, we're going to sell you to the highest bidder."
"If you can't calm down, we're going to sell you to the highest bidder."
Jon & Kate + 9
Emma & I like to watch Jon & Kate + 8 together while Logan is taking his nap in the afternoon. If you don't know, it's a program that follows the life of a couple who have 7 year old twins and 4 year old sextuplets. Yesterday's episode showed how they discipline the kids when they act up. Emma piped up from the couch:
"I wish I lived in that family. There are so many kids that I bet you could get away with a lot of bad behavior."
My girl...always thinking.

A Stroll Down Memory Lane
We took the kids to the place where all the magic began. They loved seeing where Momma & Daddy got married and had a ton of fun running all over the place.

Pretty princess
A nice shot by Emma
The place where it all began

I never noticed these signs at the entrance to the park before and thought it fit perfectly since Adam will never be able to escape my evil clutches.
